This is a St George and the Dragon signet-style ring. Happy to take offers - please note although I wont be offended I have had this priced for value & scrap value and feel I have priced fairly. The design shows St George on horseback slaying the dragon, a very classic British/European motif symbolising courage, protection and victory. The diamond-cut patterned border around the face and the openwork shoulders are typical of mid-20th century (c. 1940s–1970s) gold rings.
