Vintage Chico’s wearable art cotton tapestry jacket – beaded

I’ve had this jacket for years and it’s such a beautiful piece — photos really don’t do it justice. I’m only selling as it’s too small for me now. It’s a Chico’s cotton tapestry jacket from their wearable art era, made in India. Chico’s wearable art pieces were produced mainly in the 1990s and were designed to feel collected and timeless rather than trend-led. The fabric is a richly woven jacquard with patchwork-style elephant and bird motifs, finished with hand-applied beading that gives it lovely texture and depth in real life. Both hand and machine embroidered, cotton and polyester, with a fine 100% cotton lining and small side splits, so it’s comfortable to wear and drapes really nicely. Button front, long sleeves, and an easy, relaxed shape. Size 0 (Chico’s sizing) – fit me well as a UK 6 and would also suit a UK 8 or a small 10 depending on how you like the fit. Very good condition.
