Original Egyptian papyrus painting, produced in the 1960s–1970s, depicting a classical scene inspired by ancient Pharaonic reliefs. The composition shows a royal hunting archery scene, featuring a seated figure, birds, animals, and symbolic vegetation, again framed by hieroglyphs. This work is executed on natural papyrus, with visible horizontal and vertical fibre structure typical of genuine papyrus sheets. The painting is mounted behind glass in wooden frames with a gold-toned inner border, likely European framing from the late 20th century. Most likely produced in Egypt for the export and collector market during the mid-20th century, a period when hand-painted papyrus artworks were widely sold through galleries and specialist shops in Cairo and Luxor. They are decorative cultural artworks, not archaeological artefacts. CONDITION Hand-painted papyrus, wood and glass frame Papyrus in excellent vintage condition MEASUREMENTS With frame: approx. 60 × 49 cm (each) Without frame (papyrus only): approx. 41 × 31 cm (each)
