VTG Pottery Moonshine Cookie Jug 1970s Groovy Avocado Green
This vintage cookie jar is the real deal. Talk about a blast from the past!
It is a moonshine jug design, painted avocado green (a signature 70s color) and fired to a high gloss. Both sides are imprinted with "Cookie Jug" in a font very much familiar to those of us who were around in the 70s. Measures 11½"H x 7½"W. Lid lifts off, does not seal. Minor flaws noted: Very small size paint/glaze chipped off on side and on the handle paint blemish is noticed. On the interior of lid at rim, there is a chip but it doesn't affect the lid's fit. See pictures. Neither detracts much from this "far out" cookie jug, man.
**Note-Other people have cookie jars similar to this one identified as McCoy Pottery, but be aware if there is the McCoy marking on the bottom. This one does NOT have the McCoy marking, so it is not listed as McCoy.
