DVD Title:
BRASSED OFF 1996: PETE POSTLETHWAITE TARA FITZGERALD WIDESCREEN R COLOR (NEW & SEALED)

DVD Description:
Brassed Off (1996), directed and written by Mark Herman, is a British comedy-drama set in a small northern English town struggling with the closure of its coal mines. The film follows the members of a brass band as they face economic hardship while attempting to keep their community spirit alive through music.

The central character, Danny (Pete Postlethwaite), is the dedicated bandleader who refuses to let the mine closure or financial pressures stop the band from continuing their work. Tara Fitzgerald plays Gloria, a young and talented woman who returns to her hometown and joins the band, despite initial tensions. As the story unfolds, the band members unite in their determination to perform at the national brass band competition, showcasing their passion for music and defiance in the face of adversity. The film is both poignant and uplifting.
